Rice With Green Beans (Hungary)   by central european cooking

Ingredients

·      3 Tablespoons Olive Oil   (I used 1 tablespoon per recipe)

·      1 Medium Onion -- chopped

·      1 Clove Garlic -- chopped

·      2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste ( I doubled the recipe and used the whole can)

·      2 Cups Beef Broth  (I used veggie broth)

·      1 Cup Rice  (I used Brown minute rice)

·      1/2 Pound Green Beans -- cut in 1-inch pieces (I used frozen green beans)

·      Salt And Pepper -- to taste

·      1/2 Teaspoon Marjoram

·      2 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese

Directions

saute onion and garlic in olive oil until onion is browning. add tomato paste and beef broth. boil, add rice, reduce heat, cover simmer 10 minutes. add beans, salt, pepper and marjoram. cover cook for 25 minutes or until rice is done. add parmesan cheese and serve.
